Keep reading for our Scavenger Hunt* WE LOVE YOU and will miss you, Pang ❤️ Teachers Talk ukha - the Sanskrit word for pleasure. This month, we asked our teachers “what makes you feel good?” It’s a combination of self-care to holistic balance, our teachers weighed in. What makes you feel good?* Liza What makes me feel good is simple: moving my body and being outside with my dog and Husband. Where I can breathe and feel present. There’s something about fresh air, sunlight, and the rhythm of movement that quiets everything else and brings me back to myself. Even going on a simple walk. Yoga is one way those things can come together, it’s not just exercise, it’s a reset. It gives me space to let go of stress, reconnect with how I feel, and leave a little more grounded than I started. Finding gratitude on and off my mat☀️
Amy Feel-good nutrition, to me, is about choosing foods that support your energy, your skin, and your nervous system without overcomplicating it. Plant-based meals are rich in fiber, antioxidants, and minerals that help with everything from digestion to a lit-from-within glow. One of my staples is a simple protein chia pudding that’s easy, nourishing, and keeps me feeling full. I mix 2 tablespoons chia seeds with 3/4 cup unsweetened almond or soy milk, 1 scoop of vanilla plant protein (I love OM protein) a dash of cinnamon, and a little maple syrup or vanilla extract for sweetness. Let it sit (or overnight is best), then top with berries, a spoon of peanut or almond butter, and/or coconut flakes depending on what your body is craving. It’s the kind of breakfast or snack that supports stable blood sugar, which shows up in more balanced energy and calmer skin. When you start building meals like this (simple, intentional, and nutrient-dense) you’ll notice your body responds in a really positive, steady way.
Laura ❤️Connection-I absolutely love to connect with my whole community. From students to my fellow teachers, to my mamas and their mini’s (the babes all ages) checking in, creating meaningful conversations, sharing in each others life moments both ups and downs and everything in between truly fills my cup. 💦Movement-Moving my body, getting sweaty on my mat, being able to let go, being challenged both physically and mentally and allowing myself to simply breathe through it all. Lately, I’m surrendering to deep stretch and stillness and pushing my limits in our RhythOM & Sculpt classes. 📓 Journaling in my quiet moments out of the studio has provided a beautiful release for me to navigate day to day life experiences, both good and bad. Journaling allows my mind, body and soul to create awareness, reflect on emotions and thoughts and fully reset inside and out. Share with us…What makes you feel good?
Yoga’s 8 Limbs - Pranayama Let’s try something together real quick. We’re going to experience the fullness of our breath. First, find a seat and interlace your hands behind your head then tuck chin to chest. Focus on rounding your spine as much as you can to come inward. In this position, try taking the fullest breath possible. Now, press your head into your hands and lift your gaze forward with your elbows open out to the side. And again here, take as big a breath as possible. What did you notice? Did your breath feel fuller with your elbows out to the side? Breath profoundly impacts our body and mind. We control our breath (Pranayama) with mindfulness and awareness. When we feel threatened, fearful or stressed, our breath becomes shallow. However, we can witness this and deepen our breathing to bring our body and mind back to a state of calm. Early yogis used pranayama practices to connect their body, mind and soul. You have the power of Pranayama too. Witness your breath. Maybe you set a timer to go off at certain intervals of your day to just come back to your breath.

Until we meet again, Pang ng came to House of RhythOM first as a student. I remember him expressing how much he felt at home in the space. From those early days to going through his 200 hour yoga teacher training, to building his toolbox with Sculpt, to completing his 300 hour training just recently, we have all witnessed Pang’s growth. We see him shine. We see his aspirations. We see his wishes. And as he follows his dream, we send our hearts with him. Tearful thank yous for the time together. We love you, Pang!
