Growing up in Austin, TX, with a strong background in dance and fitness, Alma has always been immersed in movement and wellness.

Alma's first encounter with yin yoga was a transformative experience, providing her with a profound spiritual awareness through her body that she had never experienced off the mat. This pivotal moment led her to explore various vinyasa styles and flows that seamlessly combined her love for dance and fitness. Through this exploration, Alma discovered a deeper connection to herself and her practice.

Beyond her professional life, Alma cherishes spending time with her large family and friends. She enjoys reading, learning new things, attending yoga classes led by her favorite instructors, and occasionally participating in 5K runs and gym workouts. Alma's love for adventure and personal growth is evident in all aspects of her life.

For Alma, yoga is not just about teaching; it is about rediscovering oneself and embracing the whole person. Her teachings are rooted in the philosophy that yoga extends beyond the studio, integrating into everyday life to foster a deeper understanding and connection with oneself.

With extensive experience in one-on-one yoga for injury prevention and post-injury mobility, working with addiction recovery centers, and teaching kids' yoga for athletes as well as hot power yoga, Alma brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. Her personal journey through prenatal yoga deepened her love for yoga and solidified her belief in its holistic benefits.

Alma's mission is to help others reconnect with the intelligence of their bodies, promoting a sense of calm and presence in their lives. She is committed to guiding her students toward greater self-awareness and well-being, both on and off the mat.
